The actress has always preferred being a judge on reality shows as she does not like being away from her nine-year-old son Ranveer for long periods of time. Shooting for a daily entails a more hectic schedule.
But her fears were put to rest by her hubby (filmmaker Goldie Behl) who insisted that she take up the offer, as their son is no longer a baby, even though Sonali feels he still is. After all, moms will be moms.
