Vivian Dsena with wife Nouran and daughter in Bigg Boss 18 (pic/Instagram)

Nouran Aly opens up about Vivian Dsena's divorce from ex-wife Vahbiz Dorabjee

Like his characters in daily soaps, Vivian Dsena has become the audience's favourite in Bigg Boss 18 too. With less than two weeks remaining for the grand finale, Vivian Dsena's popularity is skyrocketing. Recently, during Family Week in the reality TV show, the Shakti actor got emotional after seeing his wife and daughter. Vivian's wife Nouran Aly is an Egyptian journalist. Nouran Aly opens up about her and Vivian Dsena's relationship In a recent interview, Nouran Aly, the wife of Vivian Dsena opened up about how they first met, their love story, and their relationship. She also spoke about her own family and Vivian's first marriage with actor and model Vahbiz Dorabzee. Recalling their first interaction, Nouran revealed it started on WhatsApp as she was trying to approach Vivian for an interview. This further led to phone calls and eventually, an in-person meeting.  Aly further mentioned that Dsena was shooting for his TV show Shakti at that time. She said, "He was shooting Shakti at that time, but in my country (Egypt), Madhubala was making a lot of news and was being dubbed in Arabic and shown on one of the biggest channels. So, this channel was supposed to have him over for a meet-and-greet event. As part of this, we were supposed to produce interviews. I sent his then management a message and though they replied, it took a lot of time. Then the event got cancelled due to some issues" During her chat with Galatta India, Nouran shared, "So the interview was pending for my magazine and I kept following it up for three months. After that, I messaged him that ‘people are saying you are an egoistic person and it has come out to be true. It is not good for your fans and when someone respects you for your work, you are supposed to respect them back.’ Then he messaged back saying that he isn’t like that, urging me to understand that he has a very busy schedule. He also assured me that I would get my interview in 24-48 hours and I did. Then I got to know it was like a challenge he had, ‘Who got the guts to talk to me like that?'" Nouran reveals Vivian expressed his feelings first Aly also revealed that Vivian was the one to confess his feelings first, a month after they met in person- six months after their aforementioned interview. "He said, ‘I like you a lot and would like to take this ahead, but I have a situation.’ His divorce case was still going on. ‘I cannot commit or promise anything official. But I commit that I really like you and want to take this ahead if you stay with me and have the patience.'" Showing empathy for both sides, Nouran said, "Anyone who has been in a relationship for long, emotionally and psychologically involved, it will affect both sides. Vivian doesn’t talk, but I’m sure that he has gone through a low phase. The other person too… I am not taking this away from her… must have, as a woman, gone through a lot. No divorce is happy; it takes a toll on both sides. If she (Dsena’s first wife) says she had gone through something mentally or psychologically, it is her total right. Society doesn’t spare you if you are a divorced woman." Aly also opened up about her family and past relationship, "I too am a divorcee. I have two girls, Laila and Alia, who are ten and eight. They study in Bahrain. My family includes my father, mother, three sisters and a brother. Vivian helped a lot in filling the gap (emotionally since she had come out of a broken relationship) and healing the part that he was not responsible for. He understood my mindset, where I was coming from, and my situation. He accepted my daughters and treated them more than his own. That gives you a lot of security and comfort and helps you trust again", she said.  Vivian Dsena breaks down after seeing his wife and daughter           View this post on Instagram                       A post shared by Vivian Dsena (@viviandsena) Vivian who is mostly seen as calm and composed lets his guard down after meeting his family members. As soon as he saw his wife Nouran Aly and their daughter, tears started rolling down from his eyes. He hugged her tightly, with joy and relief and overwhelming emotions. He had jokingly said to Bigg Boss, "Ab toh Bigg Boss mujhe release kar do, aapki bahu aai hai” (Now please release me, Bigg Boss, your daughter-in-law has come).

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actor Rohit Purohit: ‘Pressure keeps you grounded’

Despite going on for 15 years, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has managed to keep viewers hooked. Rohit Purohit, headlining the show opposite Samridhii Shukla, will soon complete a year on the daily soap. As his character Armaan becomes a fan favourite, Purohit claims that audience’s love has made the challenges easier. “I’m humbled by the love and attention. I’ve always believed in giving my best to every role I take on, but Armaan has been a pleasant surprise. When you are passionate about your craft and put in the work, people recognise that. But did I expect this? No. I’ve always been more focused on the process than the results, so it is rewarding when that process resonates with so many people,” he says.  A year into the show, Purohit believes he has only just begun. While he understands the pressure of headlining a show, he calls it “a good kind of pressure.” “This show has been a part of Indian television’s heartbeat for over a decade, and when you walk onto that set, you feel the weight of all the stories, emotions, and love the audience has invested in it. Playing Armaan, I wanted to bring my own flavour to the table while respecting what has already been built. Of course, there’s pressure, but it’s a good kind of pressure. It keeps you grounded and reminds you to deliver your best every day,” shares the actor.  He credits producer Rajan Shahi for his vision and ability to keep the stories relevant and progressive. “He knows the pulse of the audience.” When asked if Purohit ever worries about job security, he says, “Being an actor is like being on a roller coaster—it’s thrilling, unpredictable, and sometimes scary. That’s the beauty of it. For me, the journey has been a mix of ups and downs. You’re always working on your craft, reinventing yourself, and proving your worth. I think job security for actors comes from staying relevant, working hard, and connecting with the audience. At the end of the day, you’ve got to keep believing in yourself and your journey.”

Krishna Bharadwaj as Tenali Rama

Tenali Rama actor Krishna Bharadwaj: ‘I am a misfit in the industry’

Four years after wrapping up the first season of Tenali Rama, Krishna Bharadwaj thrilled himself by growing and styling his hair. He took time off to travel, returned to daily soaps, and wrapped up a Gujarati film. However, when the makers decided to revive the show under public pressure, he had to go bald again. The actor, who had already dedicated three years to the role, admits that while he doesn’t like seeing himself bald, returning to Tenali Rama has been like a calling. In conversation with mid-day, Bharadwaj discusses how the show brought him to spirituality, and why being a star is not his cup of tea. Edited excerpts from the interview  How does it feel being back on the show? I was in a happy space after Tenali Rama. I was so tired of doing it for three-and-a-half years and 800 episodes. I took a break and travelled a lot for the first time in life. Before Tenali, I didn’t have money. Once I got the show, I had the money but no time to travel. So, once the show ended, I enjoyed the money I had earned by travelling for six to seven months. I went on solo trips—from Puducherry, Bangalore, Chennai, Manali, Rishikesh, Kolkata, and Benares. I mostly went to spiritual places. Then I got busy with Dhruv Tara. Recently, I finished a Gujarati film, and then Tenali happened.  Even after 800 episodes, is Tenali Rama’s story not over? In the first season, we showed a small-town boy coming to Vijaynagar [a city] and becoming a celebrated hero. The second season starts with him as a fallen hero. Nobody likes him. A lot has happened in the three years, which will be shown as the story progresses. There are many novelty factors, including four new kids. People’s personal relationships have changed.  How much of it is fiction and reality? I am not sure of the exact amount, but a lot of historical facts will be mentioned. Of course, fiction needs to be added to a show. Our writer Manike Raju Uppal is a South Indian writer with several books to his credit. They makers went to Hampi and other places for research. A lot has been written about Vijaynagar. So, this is about Vijaynagar, where Tenali Rama is present. We’ve connected the two.  How has Tenali Rama’s character changed you? It makes me happy. I was not a very happy person when Tenali Rama started because those were difficult and struggling days. I realised when Tenali Rama ended that I had become a happy person, someone who could solve his own problems. I can now stay happy even during problematic days. That’s what Tenali taught me. While I couldn’t master his tricks or his intellect, playing that character 12 hours a day for 365 days affected me subconsciously and psychologically. When I face a problem, I force myself to be happy for 10 days. Eventually, I always find a solution and get out of it.  How do you mentally recuperate from the ups and downs of your career? I write. I also have a spiritual journey, which always gives me peace of mind. I learnt the hard way that you need a spiritual space, especially in this field, where you work long hours for years. You need something substantial to keep your sanity intact.  How do vanity and spirituality coexist in an actor’s life? There is no vanity in me. I am the biggest misfit in the industry. I don’t own a car or house, and it’s not because I don’t have the money. My spiritual journey has affected me positively. I am trying to balance attachment and detachment. I have no friends in the industry. I don’t socialise or party. I don’t even attend award shows. I’m a big loser in those things.  Does no socialising create problems with work? Yes, it does. I am not seen, so I don’t get approached for work. But I am okay with that. I don’t go out of my way to please anybody. I simply message people when I am looking for work. People make attempts to create a lobby and build contacts, but that is not something I can do. I am too happy in my own space, so I’ve never tried to change it.  How did you train in acting? It all started when I was four years old. My dad wanted to become an actor. In his younger days, he came to Bombay, struggled, but didn’t get work. So, he went back to Ranchi, Jharkhand. He has been doing theatre. He made me audition for Akashvani on Doordarshan at the age of four. I am also a Bharatanatyam dasharat, so all my expressions come from there. I guess it was God’s indication from childhood. My language skills are also because my dad is a PhD in Hindi. It’s ingrained in my blood.  How has your family responded? I think my dad is happier seeing me fulfil his incomplete dream. In addition, this character is so simple and so good that you cannot pick out flaws.  While you got positivity from the role, has it had any impact on viewers? I remember getting a call from a girl who had lost her father 15 days earlier. She told me that she saw her mother smile for the first time after watching the show. I received another message from a 13-year-old girl who had attempted suicide at least four times. Her parents introduced her to the show, and she has not thought of it again. I keep those messages in my room.  What is on your wish list? I want to get a National Award someday, which can only happen if I do films. No one gives a National Award for doing television. There is no category in TV. I want to do meaningful work in films. I don’t aspire to become a star. I don’t have the capacity or capability to be one. There is too much pressure in being a star. I want to leave an impact on society through my work.

Kashish Kapoor BREAKS SILENCE on Salman Khan's 'unnecessary' scolding

The Bigg Boss 18 Weekend Ka Vaar episode just before Family Week turned out to be quite heavy on Kashish Kapoor. She faced Salman Khan's wrath and, when she tried to argue, the Splitsvilla fame was called out for being disrespectful and rude towards him. Even Bollywood’s Bhaijaan himself pointed out her tone while talking to him. Now that Kashish Kapoor has been evicted from the show, the actress, in conversation with us at Midday, shared her thoughts on that incident, which left her broken. She also opened up about Karan Veer Mehra's game, how her part in the show was cut, and more. Kashish Kapoor on being rude with Salman Khan Kashish reacted to how she was treated during that particular episode by Salman Khan. She stated that she believed she had done nothing wrong and was merely trying to defend herself. The actress said: "I felt it was very unnecessary, whatever was said to me and the way I was cornered. What happened to me was wrong, and my reaction was completely justified. Put yourself in my shoes: you’re being attacked on national TV, your character is being assassinated after already facing the same misunderstanding once. So many allegations are being made against you, and you’re not even given a chance to prove yourself. Do you really expect me to speak with folded hands? So, I don’t think I was wrong." Further, when asked about Karan Veer Mehra's game, she outright called him a bad person. She added that if anyone ever tried to disrespect her mother, she wouldn’t spare them. Kashish Kapoor on Chahat Panday’s controversy Another incident that created a stir was related to Chahat Panday and her boyfriend. During the most recent Weekend Ka Vaar, the makers tried to imply that Panday was in a relationship. Kashish, however, backed her friend and clarified in the interview that whenever Chahat spoke about her relationship, it was more of a joke and humorous banter rather than her making a serious claim. While talking about her eviction from the controvesial show, Kashish remarked: "No matter how capable you are, sometimes bigger people have bigger plans."

Rupali Ganguly quitting Anupamaa? Actress REACTS to ‘strange news’

Recently, reports came in that Rupali Ganguly is quitting the popular daily soap Anupamaa. The rumours claimed that the actress will leave the show anytime soon. However, all such reports are nothing but rumours, and the actress herself dismissed the news of her quitting her popular TV serial. She has planned to remain a part of the show till the very end. She also shushed the report of the supposed 15-year leap in the storyline. The actress put out a long emotional message to react to such reports. Anupamaa is not just a show for me; it’s an emotion As per TOI, Rupali shared, "Wow, people really have some overactive imagination. But thank you for talking about me and talking about the show. What can I say? Every person has a core, and my core, I believe, is gratitude. My husband and I both believe that whatever Rajan Ji has given me—the recognition, the platform, the position—I will never be able to repay it in this lifetime. And Anupamaa is not just a show for me; it’s an emotion, it’s my home, my second home. All my fur babies are here, and the unit has become like a family. So, does anyone leave their family, their home? And God forbid, may it never happen in life. If Rajan Ji ever says that he doesn’t need me anymore, then I might fight with him, or argue, and say, ‘Please let me stay in Anupamaa.’ I opened the gate for this show, and I will remain part of this show till the end. Even if I have to face obstacles, I will not leave." Rupali Ganguly- There can be no stranger news Calling the rumours strange, she further continued and said, "There can be no stranger news than this. Anupamaa made Rupali Ganguly who she is, and Anupamaa has become a part of my being. So, it’s ridiculous; people are speculating about something, writing such things, but thank you so much for all the love that came in. And to those who have supported me, I want to say that no matter what, please keep watching Anupamaa. My show should continue. Rajan Ji is the creator of the show, and his vision is Anupamaa. As long as he wants, I will continue to work hard, with full dedication and passion. I hope to God that this journey goes on for years. But this is just the beginning; the best is yet to come, my friends. So, keep sending love, and I will work so hard that I become worthy of your appreciation. Thank you so much and do not entertain speculations." About Anupamaa The makers of the show, Deepa Shahi and Rajan Shahi, have also denied any such reports of Rupali saying bye to the show. Anupamaa is one of the most popular television shows. The show often catches headlines for any changes in the storyline or the cast lineup.
