Two years after she became an internet sensation with Girl In The City, Mithila Palkar reprises her role of Meera Sehgal in the web series. Following her life and the misadventures that come with it, the third season will see Palkar's character take a chance on love with Kartik, played by Rajat Barmecha.

Though a natural in front of the camera, the actor admits that she isn't as uninhibited when it comes to romancing on screen. "So far, it has been a little awkward to romance on camera. When you are playing a character, you have to do justice to it and for that, you have to believe in what you are doing. But I guess, eventually, you ease into it and with time, it just becomes organic," says Palkar.

The actor says her off-screen persona couldn't be further removed from her on-screen one, as far as their approach towards love is concerned. "Mithila is outgoing in terms of how she will approach a guy, I am not like that. I am old school when it comes to romance. I still like the idea of writing love letters and giving flowers on dates."

A bona fide online star, Palkar is ready to foray into Bollywood with Karwaan that sees her team up with Irrfan Khan and Dulquer Salmaan. Although excited about broadening her horizon, she is certain that the digital medium won't take a backseat. Asserting that web is the future, she says, "There is a lot of content consumption on digital platforms today. People who watch television have also started watching all their shows on YouTube. I know people who are now watching popular shows from the '90s — say, a Hum Paanch — online."
