As she returns to judge another dance show, Madhuri Dixit hopes to learn a new Kathak form

Her christening as one among Bollywood's most celebrated dancers makes her appointment as judge of dance reality shows, year-after-year, only fitting. It's no surprise then that Madhuri Dixit-Nene will take on mentor duties yet again in the second season of Dance Deewane. She points out that the show stands out from its counterparts as it brings together three generations.

"Last year, we had few participants from the senior category, but this time, we were flooded with entries," says the actor of the show that sees filmmaker Shashank Khaitan and choreographer Tushar Kalia as co-judges.
Meanwhile, in a bid to ensure her passion for dance finds an outlet, Dixit, 52, seems eager to return to the studio as a student. "There are three gharanas [styles] of Kathak. I have been trained in the Jaipur and Lucknow gharanas, but not in the Banaras one. I want to explore it when I get time. I believe that age is just a number, and passion is all that one need to chase dreams."
