Karan was a contestant on 'Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi' and 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 3' and hosted shows like 'Zara Nachke Dikha' and 'Idea Rocks India'.
Even though his personal life has been fodder for gossip mills, the actor insists he is a private person and does not wish to be under public scrutiny all the time.
"I have done stunt-based reality show. I have done hosting. I will never do 'Bigg Boss'. They are calling me from the past three-four seasons but I am not keen about it. I am a private person, I don't like to be watched by someone 24X7.
I need my space," the actor told PTI.
Karan made a transition from television to the silver screen earlier this year with Bipasha Basu-starrer "Alone".
He will be next seen in adult film 'Hate Stroy 3', co-starrings Sharman Joshi, Daisy Shah and Zarine Khan, and the actor is happy he is getting different roles to portray on screen.
"I enjoy playing different parts, express various emotions. It's a challenge but it is fun as well. I feel blessed. I am happy that right after 'Alone', I was offered 'Hate Story 3', then I have a comedy film," he said.
The 33-year-old actor, who was a known face on television courtesy his daily soaps like "Dill Mill Gayye" and "Qubool Hai", feels the growth of an actor does not depend on the medium.
"Growth of actors does not depend on medium. The roles that I did on television were great and turned out to be fruitful for me. For growth, as an actor, one should try and experiment with roles," he said.
Karan would want to star in a remake of Amitabh Bachchan's 1984 hit 'Sharaabi', where the megastar played the role of an affable alcohol addict.
"I would like to be part of 'Sharaabi' remake if ever it is made. I liked Mr Amitabh Bachchan's performance in it a lot," he said.
Tied up with film projects, the actor said he now does not have time for television shows.
