TV actor Kamlesh Pandey, who played a police officer in popular show 'Crime Patrol', allegedly committed suicide on Tuesday by reportedly shooting himself in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh.
Kamlesh Pandey was reportedly drunk and created commotion in his house in Sanjivini Nagar. Kamlesh Pandey's wife and his wife's sister Anjani Chaturvedi were present at home at the time. According to reports, Kamlesh took out his revolver, shot in the air first and then shot himself in the chest.
Kamlesh Pandey's family called the ambulance and police after the incident. The actor, however, was declared dead.
Though the reason behind the alleged suicide is not known, reports cite personal issues between the actor and his family.
Reports suggest that a few days before the incident, Kamlesh was upset as Anjani did not invite him for her daughter's wedding.
A police investigation is now underway and the post-mortem report is awaited.
Kamlesh Pandey is survived by his wife and two daughters.
