With new locations and extreme tasks, the show is all set to hit television screens on Saturday, 25th January, 2014, at 7pm. Leading them in this journey is the MTV Roadies Season 1 winner, Rannvijay Singh and Raghu Ram.

When contacted, Aditya Swamy, EVP and Business Head, MTV India, said that this year’s edition will have seven boys and seven girls compete in Ride for Respect. “This year’s format ensures survival only of the fittest. Moreover, we are reaching out to over 100 new power towns and over 200 first-time colleges to make Roadies X1 the biggest season ever”.

Rannvijay Singh says that he is deeply attached to the show, Roadies. “I am glad I have been part of the show for the last 10 years and I am thrilled to be part of its 11th season as well,” he said.

Raghu Ram, the producer of the show, points out that the show should be credited with making adventure and bikes a household name in India. “The past 10 years have seen over five million hopefuls, gruelling auditions, tough tasks and deserving winners. What I can promise is you a triple dose of thrill, action and a lot more drama,” he says.

Anil Dua, Sr Vice President (Marketing & Sales), Hero MotoCorp Ltd adds that Hero MotoCorp is a young brand that connects with the youth through the platforms of music, entertainment sports, adventure and the like. “MTV Hero Roadies is one such powerful platform with which Hero has been associated since its inception,” says Dua. Flagging off and concluding in India, the show’s route will see its 14 contestants travel across desert land — from Jodhpur to the Rann of Kutch.

To add to this, Raghu Ram, has now penned a memoir of his decade-long journey. His autobiography, Rearview: My Roadies Journey, explores the good, bad and ugly moments in Raghu’s blatantly honest style.
