Pregnant actress Dr Priya has passed away
Malayalam TV actress Dr Priya, who has acted in shows like Karuthamuthu, has passed away after a cardiac arrest, sending the industry into shock. The 35-year-old was eight months pregnant when she breathed her last at a private hospital on Tuesday. The newborn baby is reportedly in ICU currently. The news comes a day after the shock of actress Renjusha Menon's demise.

Actor Kishor Satya shared the news of Dr Priya's death with fans on social media. "Yet another unexpected death in the Malayalam TV industry. Dr Priya has died of a heart attack. She was eight months pregnant. She suffered a cardiac arrest when she went to the hospital for a regular checkup. She had no prior health issues. Her newborn child is currently in the ICU," wrote actor Kishor Sathya.
ETimes quoted Sathya as saying, "Her mother is shattered after the demise of her only daughter. The pain of her hubby who was taking care of her for the last six months cannot be described. I didn't know how to console them when I went to the hospital last night. Why is God being this cruel to such good people? Even before coming to terms with Renjusha's passing away, yet another demise. When a 35-year-old is leaving the world, even the word condolences won't suit, How will Priya's parents and her husband overcome this... May they have the courage for it."
Priya, who lived in Poojappura with her mom and daughter was married to Saravananm who hails from Bengaluru. She had returned to the small screen after taking a sabbatical post-marriage.
On Monday, popular Malayalam film and TV serial actress Renjusha Menon was found hanging in her rented apartment. The 35-year-old actress was living with her family in the apartment and the Sreekariyam Police have started a probe into the death. The family got suspicious as her room was locked for a long time on Monday morning. Later when the door was forced open she was found hanging.
Renjusha Menon was a popular actor and had acted in many serials on multiple TV channels. She also acted in some Malayalam films. The police have started a probe to find out the cause of the suicide.
