The 69th National Film Awards was announced earlier today. One of the categories that was most awaited was that of the Best Actor and Actress. Many predicted actors like Jr NTR, Ram Charan, Allu Arjun, and Suriya are in contention for the big honour. Allu Arjun's win for his spectacular performance in Pushpa- The Rise was welcomed with praises from well-wishers and colleagues from the industry.


But did you know he also created history with his win? Allu Arjun is the first actor to win a National Award in the Best Actor category from the Telugu film industry. It comes as a surprise as the Telugu industry has given the nation some of the finest actors including Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, Jr NTR, Ram Charan, Nani, and many more. 



Allu Arjun celebrated his big win at home with the team of Pushpa. Videos of him jumping in joy after the announcement also surfaced. Mythri Movie Makers, the production house of Pushpa shared the video and wrote, "Maverick director @aryasukku and our producers #NaveenYerneni garu and #RaviShankar garu shower their happiness and love on Icon Star @alluarjun for becoming THE FIRST ACTOR FROM TFI to win the BEST ACTOR at the National Awards".


Megastar Chiranjeevi also took to social media to congratulate the star who is also his nephew. "Heartiest Congratulations to All The Award Winners of 69 th National Film Awards 2021 !!!!
