Yash revisits the creative journey of KGF on its sixth anniversary

Today marks six years since the release of Yash's film KGF. Yash portrayed Rocky, as a rebellious and strong character, but also a deeply emotional figure. One of te most memorable scenes from the movie is  where Rocky helps a distressed mother and delivers the profound line, "The greatest warrior is a mother." This scene, filled with emotional depth, became the highlight of the movie. On the 6th anniversary of the film, Yash shared some emotional parts of his journey with the film. Yash shares an anecdote from the film Yash said “I think I give that space for even the last assistant director he’ll be coming and telling me the previous take was good, boss.  I always do that because you give that kind of space when there are so many instances where people come and give us great ideas, even in KGF, I and Prashant were sitting and watching the edit and we were working on it and the mothers in the famous scene was not with the mother. It was with some old lady crossing the road. I just took out my gun and it was supposed to be the gun scene. So my episode editor Mr Ramrao was watching, and he just came and said the whole Cinema is about mother. Why can’t mother be there in that scene? Just sitting in both of us looked at each other. It was a Damn good idea! Then I said what to do, to which Prashant said don’t worry we will reshoot this scene then we brought one lady with a small kid. Then he thinks of his mother and then I go out and talk to her and tell her then you know while discussing we had to come up with some line, then the line came well, so it’s like you don’t know. You never know we have done that script work for 4-5 years. I don’t know how many years from 2014, we were working, but we didn’t realise it was the person who is taking care of production came and told us something you have to take it if it is good. I think that should be the mindset and atmosphere. Otherwise, nobody knows everything. It’s a collaborative thing. Cinema is collaborative, Director, all of them should come together, and that’s when the magic happens! This change not only amplified the emotional resonance of the film but also added a layer of universality to Rocky's character. Yash credited the collaborative spirit of the KGF team for such impactful creative decisions, which have contributed to the film's commercial success.   Yash and his upcoming projects Meanwhile, on the work front, Yash will next be seen in Toxic, Ramayana, and KGF 3. He is also co-producing Ramayana and Toxic.

Kichcha Sudeepa gets questioned about English title for his Kannada film Max

Kichcha Sudeepa is currently awaiting the release of his actioner 'Max'. The film will be released in theatres on December 25. The actor who has been busy promoting the film recently responded to a reporter who questioned the English title for a Kannada language film. Clearly amused at the nature of the question, Sudeepa hit back at the reporter with a logical reasoning.  English-Kannada language debate "Why English title for your movie? Why not Kannada?" inquired a reporter during a press meet for the film 'Max'. Amused by the questions, Sudeepa took a long pause and continued to look at the reporter. He then said in Kannada, "Why are names of all news channels in English when the viewers and the interviewee like myself are Kannadigas?"  He further said, "We’re in Karnataka, having English medium schools and the kids going there are Kannadigas!" He asked the reporter, "Do you have Apple? Why don't you try saying Apple in Kannada? So what exactly is the problem?" Sudeepa's answer left netizens impressed. This comes amid a raging language debate especially in Karnataka. Multiple incidents of people being forced to speak Kannada in Bengaluru has been reported in the recent past. The metro city is home to many working professionals from different parts of the country who are not adept with the local language. This has often caused a rift between the so-called outsiders and locals.  About Kiccha Sudeepa's Max  Directed by Vijay Kartikeyaa, the high energy thriller unfolds in a single night. Sudeepa plays a cop who returns after a suspension. The actor plays a cop called Arjun Mahakshay, who’s been nicknamed Max for the terror he has unleashed on those that have had a run-in with him. Talking to OTT Play about the challenges faced by the Kannada film industry, the actor said, "The major challenge for the Kannada film industry is a lack of Kannada lovers. If you look at the entire state, wherever there are hardcore Kannada centres, all is well. But that’s not the case with cities, where there is a mix of people from all across the country. I am not against it. The issue is that the core business of Kannada cinema happens in cities and there are not enough people to sustain it. It is a perpetual fight that we have always been having against other languages. Our issues start there, and everything else is an extension of that."

Allu Arjun says he has been sitting alone for past 15 days consoling himself

Telugu superstar Allu Arjun once again addressed the press at his Jubilee home in Hyderabad to talk about the tragic stampede case that claimed the life of a woman and left her son critically injured. The actor held the press meet to respond to allegations holding him responsible for the Sandhya Theatre tragedy. A stampede ensued at Sandhya theatre on premiere night of Pushpa 2: The Rule after the actor arrived at the venue. Allu Arjun says his character is being assassinated Speaking at a press conference on Saturday evening, the Pushpa actor called the incident "very unfortunate" and said there was "a lot of misinformation" and "character assassination" against him. 'It is a very unfortunate incident. It is completely an accident. My condolences to the family. I am taking updates every hour about the condition of the child (hospitalised). His condition is improving, it is very good. There is a lot of misinformation, false allegations are being made. I don't want to blame any department or politician. My character is being assassinated,'" Arjun told the media on the December 4's Sandhya Theatre stampede in which a woman was killed and her child was injured.  Actor shares update on 8-year-old victim "I'm getting hourly updates about what's happening with the kid, I'm updated about what's happening to Sri Tej. The good thing is, he's moving, he's progressing, he's good. The good thing happening in all these mishaps is, he's moving and that is good," Arjun added. Responding to allegations made by some politicians, Arjun said, "I am not blaming anyone. There is a lot of misinformation and false allegations due to miscommunication. I don't want to blame any department, or any political leader or the government. I am very happy with the government as they gave a ticket price hike. You have been seeing me for the past 20 years--can I ever speak or behave like that? There is a lot of wrong information and character assassination. I did a cinema, it was a huge success, but for the past 15 days, I've been sitting here all alone without attending functions or events. I worked hard for a movie for three years, but I haven't watched the movie in the theatre. Watching a movie is a learning curve for me. But sitting alone for the past 15 days, consoling myself that I don't have direct involvement in what happened. I extremely apologise for what happened," the actor said. Telangana government bans benefit shows and pre-release cinema visits of actors

In a strong reaction to the stampede during the premiere show of "Pushpa 2" at a theatre in Hyderabad, the Telangana government on Saturday announced that it has decided not to allow visits of the actors to theatres and benefit shows ahead of the release of movies.  Making the announcement in the Assembly, Minister for Cinematography Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, however, said the government will continue to extend special incentives for the promotion of the film industry. He also declared that the government will not increase the rates of cinema tickets. The state government has been allowing an increase in the rates for big-budget movies featuring top stars. It also permitted an increase in the rates for "Pushpa 2: The Rule". The minister’s announcement came after a statement by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on the December 4 incident at Sandhya Theatre, which claimed the life of a woman and injured her son. The minister said that actor Allu Arjun did not fulfil his commitment to pay Rs 25 lakh compensation to the family of the deceased. Venkat Reddy announced that he would pay Rs 25 lakh to the family from the Prateek Foundation. He later visited KIMS Hospital, where eight-year-old Sri Teja is undergoing treatment and handed over a cheque of Rs 25 lakh to his father Bhaskar. He said the government would continue to bear expenditure for the treatment of Sri Tej, who remained in a critical condition. He assured the family that the government would do everything possible to save the boy’s life. The Cinematography Minister said the film’s hero or any other member of the film unit did not meet the family or visit the injured child. He also assured the Assembly that steps will be taken to prevent such incidents in future. After visiting the hospital, the minister said that the government would look into requests for enhancing cinema ticket prices and take a decision on a case-to-case basis. Earlier, speaking in the Assembly, the Chief Minister came down heavily on actor Allu Arjun for visiting the theatre despite the denial of police permission and also conducting a ‘roadshow’ while arriving at the theatre. He claimed that Allu Arjun left the theatre only after a Deputy Commissioner of Police threatened to arrest him. The Chief Minister said the actor also conducted a ‘roadshow’ by waving at people while leaving the theatre after the stampede. He lashed out at the film personalities who made a beeline to Allu Arjun’s house after his release from jail but none of them met the family of the deceased or called on the injured boy.
