Ever since Kamal Hassan has become the host of Bigg Boss Tamil, he has been in the centre of controversies. Recently, members of the Hindu Makkal Katchi were seen holding a protest outside the house of the Tamil cinema superstar in Chennai, demanding his arrest for allegedly corrupting the society by using abusive words on the controversial reality show.

Puthiya Tamizhagam leader K Krishnaswamy had also threatened to file a 'defamation' case against the channel for a derogatory statement made by a contestant on the reality show.

The show and the veteran actor have landed in another controversy as he allegedly took a dig at Sasikala. During the elimination round participant Namitha told Kamal, that living in the 'Bigg Boss' house was like living in a VIP jail. To which Kamal Hassan said that there is another VIP jail. This was a dig at AIADMK politician Sasikala who is in Bangalore jail and was panned for getting supposed 'VIP' treatment there.

This is not the first time that Kamal Hassan has targeted the AIADMK politician, Sasikala.
