Baahubali continues to fight leaks. After a few scenes from Part 2 of the popular Telugu series leaked in January, this morning, the sequel's trailer was online hours prior to its launch. A source from the production house says, “The producers are trying to figure out the origin of the leak. After the trailer was out, it was made viral by a fan.”
The makers of the Telugu film, upset with the mishap, are contemplating filing a police complaint.
When contacted, Apurva Mehta, CEO of Dharma Productions, promoters of Baahubali 2, told mid-day, “It is disappointing when something like this happens. It undermines the efforts of the producers, cast and crew who have worked relentlessly to make the content available in a particular format. Having said that, it's heartening to see Baahubali fans post messages online, assuring us that they will not promote the leaked content and are eagerly waiting for the original trailer.''

Earlier this year, a few scenes from Part 2, including a battle sequence with lead actors Anushka Shetty and Prabhas, were leaked online, after which the makers filed a complained against Ainampudi Krishna, a video editing technician at Annapurna Studios, who they suspected was behind the breach. He told the police he stole the video from the editing lab, excited to share it with friends from Vijayawada, who in turn spread the clip.
