Elton John opens up about losing vision in right eye due to infection

Singer-songwriter Elton John revealed that he lost vision in his right eye in July and it was due to an eye infection he sustained while spending the summer in the south of France, reported People. "It kind of floored me, and I can't see anything. I can't read anything, I can't watch anything," he shared. On talking about his upcoming new album, John said it had "been a while since I've done anything." However, "there's hope and encouragement that "it will be okay, but I'm kind of stuck at the moment ... going into the studio and recording, I don't know," he added. The singer noted that his "left eye's not the greatest," and it has prevented him from reading lyrics or watching anything, but that he's "taking the initiative to try and get it better," reported People. In September, Elton John has disclosed that he is grappling with partial blindness as a result of a severe eye infection, describing the recovery as "an extremely slow process." In a heartfelt update shared via Instagram, the Grammy award-winning musician detailed his ongoing health battle. John, who has been largely out of the public eye during the summer, explained that the infection, which began earlier this year, has significantly impacted his vision. "Over the summer, I've been dealing with a severe eye infection that has unfortunately left me with only limited vision in one eye," he stated. He further expressed that although he is in the process of healing, "it will take some time before sight returns to the impacted eye." In his message, John conveyed deep gratitude to the healthcare professionals and his family for their unwavering support during his recovery. "I am so grateful for the excellent team of doctors and nurses and my family, who have taken such good care of me over the last several weeks," he wrote.John has been recuperating quietly at home and remains optimistic about his recovery. "I'm feeling positive about the progress I have made in my healing and recovery thus far," he added. The news prompted a wave of supportive messages from fellow celebrities and friends. Fashion icon Donatella Versace expressed her sentiments, saying, "Sending you so much love Elton! Feel better soon. Love you." Meanwhile, singer Natalie Imbruglia shared, "Sending love and healing energy your way!" Other stars, including Billy Porter and Hannah Waddingham, also sent their well-wishes to the 'Your Song' star. John is currently the star of a documentary of his life, Elton John: Never Too Late. Although, he faced a lot of health issues, John considers himself lucky and is staying positive. "I'm the luckiest man in the world," he said, adding, "I'm proud of my attitude toward myself and what's going on. I'm just very lucky and I'm very grateful," reported People. 'Aquaman' star Jason Momoa says he finds it ‘fun’ to suffer from stage fright

Hollywood star Jason Momoa says he enjoys suffering from stage fright when he performs with his band. The 45-year-old actor has had a film career in Hollywood for decades but also plays bass guitar in the band OOF TATATA and as they completed their first tour. "It gives me an opportunity to have two hours to really be scared. I've never done theatre, I've never been on stage — so it's another aspect that I've never gotten into. It is kind of nice being scared and to just entertain people that way,” the actor told people.com. “It's been fun to experience that." The “Aquaman” star wants to be "perfect" when performing in front of a crowd but ultimately just wants his audience to have a good time. He said: "It could be a crowd of 400, it could be a crowd of 1,000, but they're right there. It's so exposed. "And it's not something that if I mess up, it's just like, 'Oh.' You want to be perfect. But I think people are having a good time, so I'm just trying to go out there and spread a little love." As part of their act, OOF TATATA have covered songs by Led Zeppelin, Stevie Nicks, The Stooges, and Jimi Hendrix, and they began performing in public in April 2024, reports femalefirst.co.uk. Momoa noted that his bandmates are his "best friends" and they have taught him so much about music. He said: "These are my best friends. They've been playing for the last 20 years, and they actually taught me how to play guitar and how to play drums. They got kids, and they were just giving up on music, and I was like, 'Guys, let's go. Let's put something together." This story has been sourced from a third party syndicated feed, agencies. George Clooney, Brad Pitt's 'Wolfs' sequel no longer in making

'Wolfs 2', the sequel to the action comedy from 'Spider-Man: No Way Home' director Jon Watts that starred Brad Pitt and George Clooney, has been cancelled. The confirmation comes after Collider published an interview with Watts Friday morning, as per Variety. Promoting his new Disney+ 'Star Wars' series 'Skeleton Crew', the filmmaker was asked about his coming plans, responding "I don't know what I'm directing next, and I don't think there's going to be a 'Wolfs' sequel." Earlier in August, Apple confirmed that it was pulling the wide theatrical release of the film, which it had partnered with Sony on as a distributor. Instead, "Wolfs" moved to a one-week limited theatrical engagement on September 20, with its debut on the streamer Apple TV+ coming a week after on September 27. The abrupt new strategy, enacted just over a month ahead of release, raised some eyebrows, as Clooney had stated in 2023 that "Brad and I made the deal to do that movie where we gave money back to make sure that we had a theatrical release." But the shift to a limited run also came packaged with news that Apple had signed Jon Watts to direct, write and produce a "Wolfs" sequel, with Clooney and Pitt expected to return to play a pair of fixers operating in the criminal underworld. In September, Brad Pitt and George Clooney attended the Venice premiere of the film in a grand way. While speaking to People at the premiere, Clooney opened up about working with long-time friend Pitt. "There's nothing good about it. It's all a disaster," said Clooney jokingly. "It's fun to work with people you know really well," he added. Apart from discussing their friendship, Clooney spoke about a controversial New York Times article that claimed he and Pitt were paid over USD 35 million each for their roles in Wolfs. "[It was] an interesting article and whatever her source was for our salary, it is millions and millions and millions of dollars less than what was reported. And I am only saying that because I think it's bad for our industry if that's what people think is the standard bearer for salaries...it'll make it impossible to make films." 'Wolfs' also stars Amy Ryan, Austin Abrams and Poorna Jagannathan. This story has been sourced from a third party syndicated feed, agencies.
