>> He is noted for his distinctive tenor/countertenor vocal style.

>> He has announced plans to auction the hair he cut in 1998.

>> He won a Grammy in 1990 for Best Male Pop Vocal for ‘How Am I Supposed To Live Without You.’

>> He was sued by Ronald Isley and The Isley Brothers, for the fact that Bolton’s song, ‘Love is a Wonderful Thing’, sounded similar to a song the Isleys composed with the same title. They won a 5.4 million dollar award in the jury trial.

>> Kanye West sampled Bolton’s song “Maybe It’s The Power Of Love” on the track “Never Let You Down” (featuring Jay-Z & Saul Williams) on his “College Dropout” album, which went multi-platinum.

>> Bolton is unable to whistle, and hence, feels the necessity to dub the whistling solo on his 1987 cover of Otis Redding’s 1968 hit ‘(Sittin’ On) The Dock of the Bay’.

>> He has made a number of cameo appearances in feature films and television, usually appearing as himself, such as in Meet Wally Sparks and The Nanny.

>> He was voted as one of the most eligible bachelors by Playgirl magazine in 1988.
