American rapper Cardi B is dealing with the loss of a ruined expensive fashion accessory courtesy her kid. In a since-expired Instagram Stories post, the rapper, 32, showed off the aftermath of her daughter Kulture Kiari Cephus, 6, getting a hold of her dark yellow Hermes Kelly bag in exotic crocodile skin worth USD 60,000, reports ‘People’ magazine. The short 14-second clip, later reshared on YouTube, shows the Grammy winner pointing at the middle of the purse. "We spent USD 60,000 on this purse", she said. "Look what my daughter did to my purse. Look what my daughter did to my purse. Look what my daughter did to my f****** purse”. As per ‘People’, the musician then zoomed in, and fans got a closer look at a heart written in black marker on the flop underneath the handle. In addition to Kulture, Cardi B is also a mother to 3-year-old son, Wave Set Cephus, and a daughter born on September 7, 2024, whose name she has not revealed, with estranged husband Offset, 32. She filed for divorce from the rapper in July 2024. It's no surprise that the mom of three was shocked by what happened to her Hermés bag, as she has an extensive collection that she previously showed off in October. During the video tour, Cardi B shared that she had gotten what appeared to be the same Hermés Kelly bag as well as two Hermes Birkin bags in dark crimson red and gray. The tour also showed off her closet, which had other luxury purses. Cardi B has also gifted her daughter her own set of luxury gifts, including a USD 830 Versace snowsuit, USD 80,000 worth of jewelry and her own hot-pink Hermes Birkin bag when she turned 2. Ben Affleck was bringing ‘unhappiness to work’ everyday while starring in ‘JL'
Oscar-winning star Ben Affleck has talked about his struggles with alcohol and challenges being under the cowl in Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice, Suicide Squad, Justice League and The Flash. “I loved Batman v Superman. And I liked my brief stints on The Flash that I did and when I got to work with Viola Davis on Suicide Squad for a day or two,” the actor-director says in a new interview, reports deadline.com. “In terms of creatively, I really think that I like the idea and the ambition that I had for it, which was of the sort of older, broken, damaged Bruce Wayne. And it was something we really went for in the first movie,” the actor told GQ. “Justice League” was a different story. “I certainly wouldn’t want to replicate an experience like that,” he said. “A lot of it was misalignment of agendas, understandings, expectations. And also, by the way, I wasn’t bringing anything particularly wonderful to that equation at the time, either. I had my own failings, significant failings, in that process and at that time.” Among those failings was a growing drinking habit. “I drank relatively normally for a long time. What happened was that I started drinking more and more when my marriage was falling apart,” the actor told The New York Times in 2020. Asked about drinking alone in his hotel room, Affleck said he was doing that “quite a bit” on Justice League, which he has also called his nadir. “You’re trying to make yourself feel better with eating or drinking or sex or gambling or shopping or whatever,” he explained. “But that ends up making your life worse. Then you do more of it to make that discomfort go away. Then the real pain starts. It becomes a vicious cycle you can’t break. That’s at least what happened to me.” Affleck’s self-criticism is aimed not so much at his performances but “what I was bringing to work every day” on set. “I mean, my failings as an actor, you can watch the various movies and judge,” he told GQ. “But more of my failings, in terms of why I had a bad experience, part of it is that what I was bringing to work every day was a lot of unhappiness. So I wasn’t bringing a lot of positive energy to the equation. I didn’t cause problems, but I came in and I did my job and I went home. But you’ve got to do a little bit better than that.” That realisation and others led the two-time Oscar winner to step back from another stint inside the cowl on The Batman. “I showed somebody The Batman script,” Affleck told the Times. “They said, ‘I think the script is good. I also think you’ll drink yourself to death if you go through what you just went though again’. There have also been moments that his struggles and specifically his sobriety, now five years strong, have aided Affleck’s work.” “I knew with The Way Back, like, ‘OK, look, people know I’m an alcoholic or in recovery, I’m going to have to have a conversation about this.’ I didn’t really mind that. I maybe underestimated the degree to which — I didn’t have any ambitions to be the national spokesman for recovering alcoholics.” “And not because I have any shame with it or anything. I just find that, I’ve been sober for more than five years, it’s just not something that is at the forefront of my mind. Colleen Hoover's 'Verity' with Anne, Dakota to hit theatres on this day
The film adaptation of Colleen Hoover's novel 'Verity' which stars Anne Hathaway, Dakota Johnson and Josh Hartnett in the lead roles, has finally got a release date, reported Deadline. Amazon MGM's Studio led adaptation of Colleen Hoover's novel is slated to release in theatres next year on May 15. It is directed by director Michael Showalter. The current script is written by Nick Antosca. According to Deadline, the Nick Antosca adapted take follows struggling writer Lowen Ashleigh who is hired as a ghostwriter for renowned author Verity Crawford under mysterious circumstances. But her assignment takes a dark turn after discovering chilling autobiographical notes. Faced with a series of deadly family secrets, Lowen struggles to separate fiction from reality, while also blurring the lines with Verity's husband, Jeremy. Previous writers on the script included Hoover & Lauren Levine, Hillary Seitz, Angela LaManna, and Will Honley & April Maguire. The film is produced by Antosca, Alex Hedlund, Stacey Sher, Showalter, Jordana Mollick, Hathaway and Hoover, reported Deadline. The movie follows Collen Hoover's earlier adaptation of the novel 'It Ends With Us' which starred Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni in the lead roles. Actress-singer Selena Gomez shared that when it comes to dealing with hate social media comments, women have it worse. During a recent appearance on the “On Purpose with Jay Shetty Podcast,” Gomez and her partner, Benny Blanco, discussed social media hate. While Blanco said he doesn’t read into what people think about him, Gomez shared a different view. Gomez said: “I was also going to point out that women have it much worse. Amy Schumer cracks the code on weight loss with latest medication
Actress-comedian Amy Schumer finally seems to have cracked what works in her weight loss after an earlier failed attempt. The actress-comedian said that she is having "a really good experience" taking a new weight loss drug, reports ‘People’ magazine. In an Instagram video she filmed from the driver's seat of her car, the actress and comedian, 43, said she wanted to "keep it a hundred" with her fans about her weight loss journey. As per ‘People’, she shared that she had previously tried to lose weight with Wegovy three years ago, but experienced unpleasant symptoms. “I was like puking, I couldn’t handle it. I don’t know if they’ve changed the formula, whatever", she recalled. The comedian continued to explain that after that experience, she scheduled a telehealth appointment and was prescribed two hormones, estrogen and progesterone, for her perimenopause symptoms. She said she also began using Mounjaro, a GLP-1 drug for type 2 diabetes that is also often prescribed for weight loss. Amy Schumer said that combined, all of her new medications have yielded positive results. "My symptoms of being in perimenopause have disappeared. My hair is fuller, my skin is better, I have more energy. I want to 'get down' more, if you know what I mean", the ‘Kinda Pregnant’ star said from behind the wheel, quickly clarifying, "I'm talking about sex”. "So, yeah, that's been great. Mounjaro's been great", Schumer continued. She noted for fans that Mounjaro is typically not covered by insurance unless one is diagnosed with diabetes or, as she joked, "severe obesity, which most of the Internet thinks I have”. Actress Amanda Seyfried never thought she would play a cop. She shared her working experience in the crime drama miniseries 'Long Bright River'. "I never thought that I was going to get the opportunity to play a cop," she said, shortly after the launch of 'Long Bright River', reported Deadline. "I think there are certain limits that we all have as actors, and I think I put these limits on myself. The industry sees you in a certain way through the years, and I saw myself as someone who would not be able to have some kind of authority. "And then when the scripts started coming in, I just thought, 'How have they managed to take the best of the book and create more of a real, three-dimensional portrayal of this?'" as per the outlet. 'Long Bright River' touches upon numerous societal themes including the opioid crisis, and Seyfried said doing the show taught her a lot about one of America's most devastating modern struggles. "Most of us have been touched by addiction but to really see it with this viewpoint, to really talk to the people and understand the people who are living in Kensington [where Long Bright River is set], and to see the lack of space for them to able to find their way," she added. Kevin Hart teams up with Ride Along director Tim Story for new comedy 72 Hours
Comedian and actor Kevin Hart is set to star in the comedy '72 Hours' with Tim Story directing. Hartbeat, Davis Entertainment, Counterbalance, and Will Packer are producing from a script by Matt Mider & Kevin Burrows, Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg. The film follows a 40-year-old executive who hopes to save his flailing career by joining a group of twentysomethings on a wild three-day bachelor party after he's inadvertently added to their group text. Ross Fanger is executive producing, reported the Deadline. The film is being produced under a partnership in which Sony Pictures will offer Netflix a first look at any films it intends to make for streaming. Davis Entertainment had been spearheading the project's development since Hurwitz and Schlossberg penned the initial draft. When Hart recently committed to star, followed by his Ride Along director Story, the project gained new life and has become a high priority for Netflix, as per the outlet.
