EMMY Award-winning director Peter Baldwin has died. He was 86. Though he passed away on November 19 at home in California's Pebble Beach, the news of his death was announced on Facebook on Friday by his children — daughter Eleonora and son Drew.

Baldwin started as an actor and went on to become a prolific TV director throughout the '60s, '70s and '80s. He won a Primetime Emmy Award for directing the well-known TV series, The Wonder Years. Born in Winnetka, Illinois, Baldwin was discovered by a Hollywood talent scout in his senior year at Stanford. He last directed the television series, Even Stevens (2002).
