In an interview with an American magazine, the Anna Karenina star revealed that she tries to limit her expenses to a USD 50,000 a year in an attempt to stay frugal — going by her high earning standards, of course.
"If I want or need something that goes over that, I get it. I think living an expensive lifestyle means you can't hang out with people who don't live that lifestyle. It alienates you. Some of my best, most hilarious times have been in the least luxurious places," said the actress.
Knightley's allowance may keep her mindset closer to that of her struggling songwriter character in Begin Again, an upcoming musical romantic comedy. The film sees her co-starring with Adam Levine.
