Rapper Diddy's lawyer shares updates about his "treatment and therapy"

After rapper Sean 'Diddy' Combs got arrested in New York City amid a federal sex trafficking investigation, his lawyer shared that he is under treatment and therapy, reported People. The popular rapper was arrested on September 16. According to the federal indictment, he was charged with sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy and transportation to engage in prostitution. On September 17, during his arraignment hearing, his lawyer Marc Agnifilo, said Combs is getting treatment and therapy for things that most respectfully he needs treatment and therapy for and he's getting that," as reported by People. However, Agnifilo had not shared the details about Diddy's treatment, to maintain confidentiality. Agnifilo added, "Mr. Combs is not a perfect person. There's been drug use, there's been toxic relationships - which I think were mutual in their toxicity as these things often are," he continued saying receiving aid "at the ripe age of 54" should be appreciated. Combs has been in the headlines for a long time now. Most recently his former bandmate Dawn Richard filed a sexual assault lawsuit against him. Richard's suit included claims of battery, false imprisonment, withholding millions of dollars in unpaid royalties and wages, as well as stealing her copyrighted works. Richard's complaint was at least the eighth brought against him since his former girlfriend Casandra Ventura filed a lawsuit detailing years of physical and sexual abuse last year. That action quickly settled but led to other accusers, including Liza Gardner, Joi Dickerson-Neal and Crystal McKinney, bringing similar complaints. "Prosecutors also alleged he had what appeared to be drugs in the Manhattan hotel room where he was arrested on Monday". Diddy's alleged physical abuse began in 2009, according to the indictment. He is accused of hitting, dragging, kicking, and throwing things at victims in purported assaults that were occasionally witnessed by others, according to People.

Jennifer Lopez & Brett Goldstein to star in rom-com 'Office Romance'?

Jennifer Lopez & Brett Goldstein to star in a rom-com? Yes, that's true. On Tuesday, September 17, several outlets reported that Lopez will star in a romantic comedy with Brett Goldstein in a Netflix film titled 'Office Romance'. Although the details regarding the project are still under wraps, the news of the two starring in a rom-com has been confirmed by Lopez herself. Jennifer Lopez confirmed the news about Office Romance If the updates on the current project are to be believed, Brett Goldstein is reportedly writing the screenplay with another 'Ted Lasso' alum, Joe Kelly. Lopez confirmed the news about being cast in 'Office Romance' by sharing an article by Deadline and captioned it, "This is going to be fun!!!" Deadline reported that Netflix secured the film after a competitive bidding war, marking Jennifer Lopez's third collaboration with the platform following 2023's 'The Mother' and 'Atlas', which was released earlier in 2024. Why Jennifer Lopez has been in the Headlines   On September 14, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez were seen together as they enjoyed a fun day out as a family in Beverly Hills, California. According to Page Six, a source revealed that "Ben and JLo are currently at the Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel holding hands and kissing. The kids are with them, but at a separate table." The report also stated that the two were observed engaged in a deep and intense conversation in a parked car outside the hotel. Jennifer Lopez Files for Divorce from Ben Affleck   As per TMZ, JLo filed for divorce without a lawyer on August 20, which was their second wedding anniversary. Rumours of troubles in their marriage started earlier this year after Ben’s house-hunting activities in Los Angeles coincided with Lopez's solo real estate browsing. Weeks after Hollywood singer-actress Jennifer Lopez filed for divorce from Ben Affleck, she attended the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) for the premiere of 'Unstoppable'. Ben, who produced the film, skipped the event to avoid any awkward moments given their recent split. That being said, JLo commanded attention in a bold outfit on the red carpet.

Miley sued over 'Flowers', accused of copying Bruno's ‘When I Was Your Man’

Singer-songwriter Miley Cyrus is facing a lawsuit over the alleged similarities between her track ‘Flowers’ and Bruno Mars' hit track ‘When I Was Your Man’. The lawsuit has been filed in a Los Angeles court, and was put in motion by Tempo Music Investments — which owns a share of the copyright in Mars' hit after it acquired songwriter Philip Lawrence's music catalogue, reports ‘People’ magazine. Tempo Music Investments has alleged that many "recognised the striking similarities" between the two songs upon the release of ‘Flowers’. The documents, accessed by ‘People’, state that ‘Flowers’ "duplicates numerous melodic, harmonic, and lyrical elements" of Mars' track. It read, “It is undeniable based on the combination and number of similarities between the two recordings that 'Flowers' would not exist without 'When I Was Your Man’”. "Accordingly, Plaintiff brings this action for copyright infringement arising out of Defendants' unauthorised reproduction, distribution and exploitation of 'When I Was Your Man’”, the complaint added. As per ‘People’, Tempo Music Investments also listed ‘Flowers’ songwriters Gregory Hein and Michael Pollack, who wrote the track with Cyrus, among multiple defendants, along with Sony Music Publishing and Apple, in the suit. Mars is not named as a plaintiff in the filing. The investment platform claims in the documents that it acquired "the copyright interests" of Mars' hit, which was written by the singer, 38, Lawrence, 44, Ari Levine and Andrew Wyatt, "in or around 2020”. Among the accusations, the suit states that "the opening vocal line from the chorus of 'Flowers' begins and ends on the same chords as the opening vocal line in the verse of 'When I Was Your Man’”. Tempo Music Investments wants Cyrus, and the defendants listed in the suit to stop reproducing, distributing or publicly performing ‘Flowers’.

The series is based on James Clavell’s eponymous novel, and is a retelling of the Emmy-winning 1980s NBC miniseries set in 1600 feudal Japan. The series follows the collision of two men from different worlds, John Blackthorne, a risk-taking English sailor who ends up shipwrecked in Japan, a land whose unfamiliar culture will ultimately redefine him, and Lord Toranaga, a shrewd, powerful daimyo, who is at odds with his own dangerous political rivals; and Lady Mariko, a woman with invaluable skills. It stars the legendary Japanese actor Hiroyuki Sanada as Lord Yoshii Toranaga, who is a descendant of the Minowara clan which once ruled over Japan as shoguns. Shogun was the title of the military rulers of Japan during most of the period spanning from 1185 to 1868. Nominally appointed by the Emperor, shoguns were usually the de facto rulers of the country. The institution, known in English as the shogunate, persisted for nearly 700 years, ending when Tokugawa Yoshinobu relinquished the office to Emperor Meiji in 1867 as part of the Meiji Restoration.           View this post on Instagram                       A post shared by Shogun (@shogunfx) Where to watch Shogun in India? Is Shogun in English? The majority of the show is in Japanese with English subtitles, but there are some characters who speak English onscreen. It's all in service of the show's incredible immersion into this world. The showrunners have ensured that the translation from Japanese to English subtitles is as accurate as possible. How many seasons does Shogun have? Shogun is created for television by Rachel Kondo & Justin Marks, with Marks serving as Showrunner and Executive Producer alongside Michaela Clavell, Edward L. McDonnell, Michael De Luca, and Kondo. The series is produced by FX Productions. Two more seasons of Shogun are in development.
