Walter White's house in 'Breaking Bad' is up for sale in New Mexico

The character Walter White's house portrayed in the popular TV show Breaking Bad is up for sale in the market. The owners of the house have priced it at almost 10 times the average price of houses in the neighbourhood. The house is located in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  About the Breaking Bad house According to reports, the house has been put on sale at a whopping price of USD 4 million (Rs 34 crore approx). The said house has four bedrooms, two bathrooms and a backyard pool, which also featured in crucial scenes of the long-running show. According to real estate company Zillow, the average price of houses in the neighbourhood is USD 421,000.  The house is owned by Joanne Quintana. She reportedly said that the house's popularity among tourists came at a cost to the family's quality of life. "This was our family home from 1973, almost 52 years,” she told local TV station KOB4. “So we’re going to walk away with just our memories. It’s time to move on. We’re done. There’s no reason to fight any more.” Recalling the time the 'Breaking Bad' crew requested to use the house for the acclaimed series in 2006, Quintana said, "They introduced themselves and handed [my mother] a card and said, "We would like to use your house for a pilot".  Reportedly, the crew only used the inside of the home for gear and prep-not for scenes, the KOB4 reported. Most of the outside areas of the home were shown in the five season series. The house owner said that they would have tourists come knocking on the door frequently causing disturbance. Quintana said that an average of 300 cars come past the house each day. After an incident where one visitor left a package addressed to Walter White on their doorstep, Quintana and her siblings decided to erect more security. “My brothers said, that’s it, we’re done, fence is going up,” Quintana told KOB4. “That’s too close for comfort.” Family recalls iconic pizza scene In 2015, Quintana’s late mother, Fran Padilla, said that they had fans who attempted to recreate the scene from Breaking Bad where White throws a pizza on the roof. “We’ve had pizzas on our roof. We’ve had pizzas on our driveway; pizzas until we’re sick of looking at pizzas,” Padilla told NPR. The family was there for the iconic pizza scene. Joanne says they had boxes of pizzas lining her sidewalk in case Bryan Cranston didn't get it on the first take, but he nailed it on try one. For the pivotal scene when Skyler walks into the family's pool, the family snapped a photo as they filled the pool with 90-degree water to make the actress comfortable. Fran always had cookies for the crew. "What was funny was Bryan Cranston could not eat not one cookie. Because he had cancer in the show, he was losing weight. So he would pass, but everybody, all the directors, all the writers, would eat the cookies. The last day of shooting, he takes a picture holding my mom's biscotti because he finally got to eat her cookies," said Quintana. "Aaron Paul had to grunt and get angry to get into his character of Jesse. That was awesome. And the magic of Hollywood, nobody will ever get to experience what we did."

Jessica Alba and Cash Warren have reportedly split after 16 years of marriage

Hollywood star Jessica Alba and her producer husband Cash Warren have reportedly split after 16 years of marriage. According to tmz.com, the two are nearing a divorce, reports people.com. Alba, and Warren, first met in Vancouver in 2004 on the set of the superhero flick Fantastic Four. The actress played Sue Storm, while Warren worked as a director's assistant. They got married on May 19, 2008, and have three children together , daughters Honor, 16, and Haven, 13 and son Hayes, 7. The pair celebrated son Hayes’ 7th birthday earlier in January. In a cryptic message on New Year’s Eve, Alba wrote that her 2024 was “filled with connection, growth, adventures, laughter, peace, sisterhood, transformation, rebirth, joy and so much love.” In September 2021,she spoke about building her business empire, parenting and her marriage with Warren. She said at the time that they both would share their individual needs to prioritise their relationship. "At different times, there were different things that we needed. Around the time I had the kids, it was like, 'I need (date night) once a week.' And he's been like, 'I need you to be present on the weekends and not work,' " she said, explaining they'd often "over-communicate what's happening before it gets to the point of no return." She added: "I don't think we have a secret at all. We just have to check each other." In July 2021, Alba spoke about juggling parenting responsibilities and her marriage in a conversation on Katherine Schwarzenegger Pratt's Instagram series. "I think that he probably gets the short end of the stick. And it's not even him, I would say it's us," she said at the time. "When I'm seeing him and spending time with him and we're really enjoying each other, it's an 'us' thing and it feeds me as well. It's hard. It's impossible." "It's all rosy for two and a half years. But then after that you become roommates. You're just going through the motions. You have the responsibilities; it's a lot of, like, checking the boxes, right?" said the actress She said they used to "at least" do weekly date nights, "but then that stops because of whatever." The actress shared: "We're just not consistent. But being able to communicate when you're unhappy and nipping it right away instead of letting it sort of fester, and then you have animosity and then it explodes — which we've gone through that one! We have, obviously, the friendship, the comfort of 'You're not going anywhere,' so sometimes you don't treat those people the best. You don't consider their feelings in the way that you would consider other people's feelings," she said. "That is something I think is a constant one to work on." Alba added, "It's a life journey, and if you're both every day deciding to do it, it's gonna work out, regardless of the drama, regardless of anything that happens."

Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni

Justin Baldoni's legal team to highlight Blake Lively's 'pattern of bullying'

The legal team of actor and director Justin Baldoni has suggested they will highlight what they describe as a 'pattern of bullying' by actress Blake Lively in their countersuit after she accused Baldoni's team of launching 'attacks' following the lawsuit. The dispute between Blake and Justin became the talk of town after she filed a complaint against her 'It Ends with Us' co-star and director alleging sexual harassment and a retaliatory smear campaign, as per The Hollywood Reporter. In the latest barb of allegations, Bryan Freedman, Justin Baldoni's attorney -- comment confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter, accused the actress of sending 'grossly edited documents' to the New York Times before filing her complaint. "It is painfully ironic that Blake Lively is accusing Justin Baldoni of weaponizing the media when her own team orchestrated this vicious attack by sending the New York Times grossly edited documents prior to even filing the complaint, we are releasing all of the evidence which will show a pattern of bullying and threats to take over the movie. None of this will come as a surprise because consistent with her past behavior Blake Lively used other people to communicate those threats and bully her way to get whatever she wanted. We have all the receipts and more." Earlier, Blake Lively accused the Baldoni team of using the 'blame the victim' tactic to turn the situation in their favour while speaking to the People magazine. Lively's lawyer said, "This is not a 'feud' arising from 'creative differences' or a 'he said/she said' situation,'" read the statement from Lively's lawyers. "As alleged in Ms. Lively's complaint, and as we will prove in litigation, Wayfarer [Studios] and its associates engaged in unlawful, retaliatory astroturfing against Ms. Lively for simply trying to protect herself and others on a film set. And their response to the lawsuit has been to launch more attacks against Ms. Lively since her filing." The lawyer's statement continues "A classic tactic to distract from allegations of this type of misconduct is to 'blame the victim' by suggesting that they invited the conduct, brought it on themselves, misunderstood the intentions, or even lied." Meanwhile, Baldoni's legal team has asserted that Lively's accusations were false and part of a tactic to rebuild her image, suggesting that her publicist, Leslie Sloane, orchestrated a smear campaign against Baldoni. Justin Baldoni's legal team is yet to file a countersuit against Blake Lively for her complaint. Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni worked together in the film 'It Ends With Us'. Jacob Elordi

Jacob Elordi is in talks to star in Ridley Scott’s upcoming movie The Dog Stars

Hollywood actor Jacob Elordi is in talks to star in Ridley Scott’s upcoming movie The Dog Stars for 20th Century. The film is a post-apocalyptic thriller. The actor is said to replace Paul Mescal, who ran into scheduling issues. Mescal, who stars in Scott’s Gladiator sequel, had been poised to star in the film about a catastrophic flu virus that wipes out nearly all of humanity. But he was forced to drop out due to filming Sam Mendes’ Beatles anthology. The project is based on a 2012 novel by Peter Heller, with its screenplay written by Mark L Smith, and is expected to be Scott’s next film after a Bee Gees biopic for Paramount. As per reports, if his deal closes, as is expected, Jacob Elordi would play a pilot named Hig who befriends a cranky gunman as they try to outlast a roaming band of scavengers called Reapers. During a December conversation with fellow filmmaker Christopher Nolan that followed a Gladiator II screening, Scott hinted that Mescal’s involvement in the project was precarious. “Paul is actually stacked up, doing the Beatles next. So, I may have to let him go,” he told Nolan. Mescal is rumoured to be playing Paul McCartney. But Elordi, too, has a packed schedule, with both the final season of HBO’s Euphoria and Warner Bros.’ Wuthering Heights opposite Margot Robbie set to go into production in the first quarter of 2025. Scott is said to also be eyeing a spring 2025 start date, so it is unclear which of these productions, if any, push back in order for Elordi to commit to The Dog Stars. Hugh Grant reveals why his wife is ‘forbidden’ to watch his film Nine Months

Hollywood star Hugh Grant has "forbidden" his wife from watching his “Nine Months” because he thinks he was not good in it. The star, who has been married to Anna Elisabet Eberstein since 2018, starred in the 1995 romcom 'Nine Months' alongside Julianne Moore but even though he thinks highly of everyone involved in it, he feels as if he was on the one drawback. He told variety.com: "Let me stress, everyone involved with ('Nine Months'), with the exception of me, was brilliant and talented. It was just me that let it down. "My wife wants to watch it, but I’ve forbidden her. I’ve put parental controls on the screen so that you can’t get it." Over his four-decade-long Hollywood career, Grant has appeared in popular romcoms such as 'Bridget Jones' Diary' and 'Four Weddings and a Funeral'. He said that while they can be "hard work" to film, he has learned in more recent years that they achieve a longevity because of the "pain" often involved in the plot. He said: "They’re hard. And with the benefit of time, I really appreciate the good ones I did. The Richard Curtis ones are really about pain. It’s something my wife spotted. She’s Swedish; they’re good on pain.” “She was watching 'Love Actually,', and she said, “Everyone’s in pain, and the humour is all a means for dealing with pain,” reports femalefirst.co.uk. "That’s what makes them sustain and not float away like a piece of fluff. The Marc Lawrence ones I did are also great because he genuinely loves people and there’s a warmth that I find enchanting.” “Because I’ve seen the romantic comedies that are slightly put together by committee, and they don’t work as well.” “Nine Months” is a 1995 American romantic comedy directed by Chris Columbus. The film also stars Tom Arnold, Joan Cusack, Jeff Goldblum and Robin Williams. It is a remake of the French film "Neuf mois" and served as Grant's first US starring role.
