Adarsh, who shot for Extrapolations recently, on how Irrfan, Priyanka have paved the way for Indian actors on global scene

Benefitting from Gen X

Adarsh Gourav, Priyanka Chopra and late Irrfan Khan

Adarsh Gourav is bursting with energy after having shot for Extrapolations in New York. The actor, only a few projects old, had the rare experience of collaborating with Meryl Streep, Kit Harington and David Schwimmer in Scott Z Burns’s climate change anthology series. Proud as he is to have achieved the feat early on in his career, Gourav is also aware that the opportunity has come his way, courtesy the hard work put in by many Indian actors before him. “Priyanka Chopra [Jonas], Deepika Padukone, Anupam Kher and the late Irrfan have been seen in Hollywood projects. This collaboration between the East and the West is opening actors to global audiences,” says Gourav.

The White Tiger find is grateful to the Indian artistes for making their presence felt on the international circuit, thus paving the way for the next generation. “The lines are blurring as more and more actors [feature] in international projects. It is an exciting time for me to land collaborations that help me harness my talent. I am grateful for this opportunity every day.”
