Oscar winning actress, Alicia Vikander's ripped looks in Roar Uthaug's action adventure film, Tomb Raider stirred some exhilaration no sooner the trailer was launched. While this is their first film together, the actor-director duo share a common origin as both hail from the land of Scandinavia. Is this the reason for Vikander to sign up for the film?

The Scandinavian connect not only excited leading lady to work with the director, but as per sources it also helped to share a common language beyond English, giving them the chance to chat privately even while they were among the British crew!

Vikander who is originally from Sweden, was eager to work with fellow Scandinavian Uthaug belongs to Norway, "I've seen several of Roar's films and I think he's great. His passion clearly lies with genre films and all the classic elements that kind of film has, yet his stories are also very emotional," she relates.
