The Grey's Anatomy actor was driving the Number 40 Mazda RX-8, and while returning to the track after a harmless spin in the final session, a Daytona Prototype slid off course and into the grass, directly into his path.
The car hit Dempsey's vehicle, but luckily, the actor was uninjured. However, car Number 40 needed major front end and radiator repairs. At least the precious driver's anatomy was safe!
