The talk show queen wrote in an open letter in The Oprah magazine that never shutting her heart down is the best thing she has ever done, the reported a website.
The 'Butler' actress asserted that even in her darkest moments, through sexual abuse, a pregnancy at 14 and lies and betrayals, she remained faithful, hopeful and open to seeing the best in people, regardless of whether they were showing her their worst.
Winfrey added that she stayed open to believing that no matter how hard the climb, there is always a way to let in a sliver of light to illuminate the path forward.
