"I just have the most amazing life. I Googled myself the other day for the first time, I am so impressed with myself! This is what I didn't know. I was the first African American self-made billionaire, (and) donated more to charity in the 20th century than any other African American. This is really good," Winfrey told British Vogue.
The host said when she was young, she used to harbour doubts about herself and was afraid of what life would bring her.
Asked what advice she would offer to her younger self, she said: "Oh, honey. Oh, baby girl, what the world has in store for you. First of all it would be 'relax,' it would be, 'stop being afraid,' and it would be, 'everything is going to be alright. No matter what it will all be OK.'"
Winfery said her "biggest frustration" in life is with the youth who believe there is a quick fix for success.
"My biggest frustration is with young people who think that success is supposed to happen like that. They think that there isn't a process to it. They think that they're supposed to come out of college and have their brand.
"And I recognise now that I am a brand, but I was resistant to being called a brand for many years... But how I got to be a brand was not by trying to be a brand," she said.
