New York: Oscar winner Michael Douglas has claimed that his friend Val Kilmer is battling cancer despite the actor's numerous denials.
The 72-year-old star, who himself fought tongue cancer six years ago, has revealed that his "The Ghost and the Darkness" co-star is serious and "things don't look too good" for him, reported New York Post.
"Val was a wonderful guy, who is dealing with exactly what I had, and things don't look too good for him. My prayers are with him. That's why you haven't heard too much from Val lately," Douglas said at a Q&A in London on Sunday, according to the Sun.
In January 2015, Kilmer, 56, was hospitalised after his throat started bleeding but he denied reports of having cancer at that time.
"I am perfectly well folks. Thank you for all your love and support. I am having a grand time. And I should mention I
do not have cancer or a tumor," Kilmer wrote on Facebook that time.
