This is the first time Jenner has been included in the Forbes' list since it was first published in 2014. "The most successful women entrepreneurs are increasingly taking advantage of technology, including social media, to help them launch and grow businesses," said Luisa Kroll, assistant managing editor of Forbes.
In an interview with Forbes, Jenner said that she has always been allured by cosmetics, even though she struggled to find something to do on her own. "Ever since I was in sixth grade, I would wear purple eyeshadow. I turned to make-up to help me feel more confident," she said. Jenner also makes money from endorsements and is the youngest woman to be featured in the issue. She is also said to be the seventh most followed celebrity on Instagram.
