Mariah Carey is known to spend Christmas in Aspen, Colorado. But the pop star might be regretting her plans this year with ex-fiance James Packer reportedly holidaying just 50km away in Beaver Creek, Vale.

A report in a Sydney-based newspaper revealed that the Aussie casino mogul is likely to ring in the festivities with fellow billionaire pal Kerry Stokes. Packer may have decided to spend X’mas in the US given that he made a trip to Aspen with Mariah last year.

There are also speculations that James will be joined by his friend, Karl Stefanovic, who stayed in his Sydney apartment after his split from wife Cassandra Thorburn.

Meanwhile, Mariah is celebrating Christmas in style at a lavish rental property in Aspen. She is joined by her new boyfriend, backing dancer Bryan Tanaka, and her five-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe.
