Actor Jim Carrey's daughter Jane is setting her sights on becoming the next 'American Idol'.

Jane was revealed as one of the contestants on the show Jan 22 when she took part in the pre-taped auditions in San Diego, California, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

She performed "Something to Talk About" in front of judges Steven Tyler, Jennifer Lopez and Randy Jackson who all voted her through to the next round of the current competition.
