An audio recording has revealed that Harrison Ford called himself a "schmuck", apart from adding that he was "distracted" when he mistakenly landed his private plane on an airport taxiway on February 13.
The Star Wars actor narrowly grazed past a passenger plane carrying 116 people during the incident at California's John Wayne Airport in Orange Country. "I'm the schmuck that landed on the taxiway... I was distracted by the airline which was in movement when I turned to the runway," he is heard telling an air traffic controller. The recording was released by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), which is investigating the incident.
