The Oscar-winning star, 46, who was father to son Cooper, 10 and two daughters namely Tallulah, 7 and Willa, 5 with O'Donell, had told his accountant David Friedman that he wanted his children to make it on their own, and not be known as "trust fund" kids, the Mirror Reported.
After Friedman stated in the documents presented to Manhattan Surrogate Court, that Hoffman had treated his partner of 14 years just like his spouse, the court's attorney said that there shouldn't be any problem in accepting the late stars wishes as there was nothing suspicious.
Hoffman, who had been sober for 23 years before falling prey to drugs again developing a 6,000 pounds per month habit, was found dead due to overdose at his New York flat in February.
