The audience attending her show were told to leave their seats inside the open-air venue before the singer started her set, reports aceshowbiz.com.
Knowles was scheduled to take the stage at 08:30 p.., but law enforcement and the staff decided to evacuate the stadium at 08:15 P.M because of the approaching lightning. Concertgoers were asked to move to either the TCF Bank Stadium concourse or to Mariucci and Williams Arena.
Fortunately, the concert didn't get canceled. After a 45-minute delay, fans were told to return to their seats "in a calm and orderly fashion."
"I am so honoured to be here tonight. Thanks for riding with me through the storm," Knowles told the crowd once she appeared onstage.
This isn't the first time Knowles has postponed a show on her ongoing "Formation" tour due to storm. Earlier this month, she halted her show in Raleigh, North Carolina for similar reason.
