Los Angeles: After a 26-day silence, troubled actress Amanda Bynes has made an appearance on social media, posting a picture of herself trying on new dresses.

The 28-year-old, who remained silent on Twitter since Nov 10, surprised all by sharing a brand new picture with her 3.7 million followers, reports eonline.com.

Wearing a knee-high skirt and matching top, Bynes posed for the camera while showing off a belly-button piercing and a blonde wig.

"I'm loving Boutique Jules!" she tweeted while in the clothing store's dressing room.

After being released from an involuntary psychiatric hold at the end of October, Bynes hopes to give a new start to her social life.
