New Delhi: Director Ilya Naishuller's 'Hardcore Henry', which is a Russian-American science fiction action film, is set to release in India on April 8.

The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival last year and also won the Grolsch People's Choice Midnight Madness Award at the festival.
The film follows the story of Henry who is brought back from the dead by his wife. "Hardcore Henry" has been shot from a first person perspective. In the film Henry's wife is abducted leading to mysterious circumstances and he must somehow with a bleak memory reach to the kidnapper Akan who is a notorious warlord.
The film features actors Sharlto Copley, Danila Kozlovsky, Haley Bennett, Andrei Dementiev, Darya Charusha and Svetlana Ustinova.
'Hardcore Henry' is being distributed and marketed in India by PVR Pictures.
