'Avengers: Age of Ultron'
The sequel to 'The Avengers' beat the first movie with its opening day numbers, earning USD 84.5 million on its release on Friday, May 1 compared to the first movie's USD 80.8 million.
It was just behind the all-time best opening day of 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II' which earned USD 91.7 million in its first day back in 2011.
'Avengers: Age of Ultron' opening day gross is also the biggest ever for a superhero film. It has grossed a total of USD 627 million worldwide.
