Subsequently, a newspaper contest was held to finalize the film`s title, and "Jab We Met" emerged as the victorious choice. The name, a combination of Hindi and English, was selected to reflect the film`s rooted yet contemporary essence. Kapoor also disclosed that "Bhatinda Express" was initially considered as a potential title for the movie.
