'Mrityudand' is a Hindi drama film released on July 11, 1997. The film was directed and produced by Prakash Jha.
The film which is a commentary on social and gender injustice stars Madhuri Dixit, Shabana Azmi, Ayub Khan, Mohan Agashe, and Om Puri.
Sharing some stills from the film on its 25th anniversary, Madhuri wrote, "Feels like yesterday. Gotta always strive to do our best. The journey continue… stay tuned."
Madhuri Dixit and Ayub Khan played the central couple of Ketki and Vinay in the film.
