The film premiered at the Toronto Film Festival and was praised for its gripping storyline and intense action scenes.
For those who don't know, actor Lakshya was initially supposed to debut with Dostana 2, but that project was shelved. He then had Bedhadak lined up, but that was also canceled.
In a conversation with Indiablooms, Lakshya said, "I was an outsider on paper but I never felt it in the company (Dharma Productions)."
He further talked about his experience with films getting shelved and said, "After my first film (his earlier films with Dharma Productions were delayed and shelved) didn't work out, I never felt losing the support of the team and company they had shown to me from the very beginning."
"I see the amount of time and effort everybody has put in me and it puts me in a little bit of pressure but I am trying my best. I am utterly grateful for what they have done for me. I don't feel like an outsider to be honest." He added.
Lakshya further stated that he felt like Dharma production always had his back. Talking about the movie, he stated, "Kill just happened and all panned out very well for me."
Lakshya actually started his journey on Television. He spent 6 years of his career on TV bringing happiness to lakhs of people in India.
In the same conversation, he mentioned, "I have worked on TV for six years and I have learnt a lot from the medium but my ultimate goal was to become a film star"
"I still can't believe that it's a reality now. I am unable to describe my feeling because I haven't been through this kind of an emotion previously in life." He gushed.
The movie earned great reviews for its thrilling action scenes, already marking Lakshya as a rising star.
Lakshya has gone above and beyond to give the audience his best and most violent avatar in his debut film.
