Alia Bhatt was all smiles and stylish in her traditional avatar as she arrived for the screening of her film Gangubai Kathiawadi. It's releasing in cinemas tomorrow on February 25. The drama is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
Veteran actress Shabana Azmi also arrived in an equally etheral avatar at the film's special screening at Yash Raj Studios. 'Gangubai Kathiawadi', which is helmed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, revolves around a maiden sold by a suitor into prostitution and how she becomes a prominent, celebrated figure in the underworld and Kamathipua red-light district.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali always had a penchant for black and at the screening, he carried it off one more time. He completed 25 years as a filmmaker in 2021. His latest release reached the Berlin Film Festival. The magnum opus was screened for the International audience and critics ahead of its theatrical release.
Another stalwart of the industry Javed Akhtar was spotted at the film's screening. The film, which also stars Ajay Devgn, is scheduled to release in theatres on February 25.
