The makers of Sooraj Pancholi starrer Satellite Shankar hosted a grand screening at a preview theatre in Juhu, Mumbai. The event was graced by several celebrities including veteran actor Sumeet Saigal, who attended the screening with his wife Farah Naaz. All pictures/Yogen Shah
Urvashi Dholakia also attended the screening. The original Komolika of Kasauti Zindagii Kay looked radiant in a cream coloured dress. Her white sports shoes, open hair and evergreen smile perfected her look.
The Bigg Boss winner attended the screening with her twin sons Sagar-Kshitij and Anju Mahendru. On the work front, she was last seen in the dance reality show Nach Baliye 9 as a contestant along with Anuj Sachdeva.
Veteran actress Rekha looked radiant in a bright white saree at the screening. Speaking of Satellite Shankar, the movie follows Sooraj Pancholi, who plays an army officer, and his journey of self-discovery while exploring India's beauty and diversity. The makers of the film dropped the trailer on October 17.

Satellite Shankar is his second film after his debut Hero, opposite Athiya Shetty in 2015. The film was produced by Salman Khan and directed by Nikkhil Advani, and even though it didn't set the cash registers ringing, Pancholi received praise for his performance.

Sooraj's parents and veteran actors Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab also attended the screening. The duo teamed up with Rekha for a beautiful "veteran" photograph.
Ace director duo Abbas Mustan also attended the screening with brother Hussain and Mustafa Burmawala. Sooraj, in an exclusive interview to mid-day, called Satellite Shankar his actual launch pad. "I heard a lot of scripts after Hero but was not pleased. I was looking for a story. Satellite Shankar is my actual launch pad. It's a story about a soldier who wants to meet his mother, and also keep his promise to his boss that he will report to duty", he said.
Speaking about his four-year-old journey, he said, "The last four years have been a bad journey, but I have just surpassed one of the most difficult stages of my life and emerged stronger."

Satellite Shankar has been shot in 10 locations across India including places like Chitkul in Himachal Pradesh and Agra in Uttar Pradesh The film also features south actor Megha Akash, who is making her Bollywood debut. Speaking about her, Sooraj Pancholi says, "She's a good co-star and a good performer."

Sanjay Leela Bhansali also attended the screening with mother Leela Bhansali. The ace director has been in news ever since he has announced two films one after another. The first is Gangubai Kathiawadi, starring Alia Bhatt, and the second is a musical saga Baiju Bawra. The Alia Bhatt starrer is locked for release on September 11, 2020, while the latter will be released in Diwali 2021.
Shakti Kapoor was also clicked at the screening. The actor donned a black metallic t-shirt, jacket and black pants along with blue shoes.
Producer-director Sanjay Gupta also graced the screening with wife Anu Lekhi. Written by Vishal Vijay Kumar and directed by Irfan Kamal, the film is set to hit the silver screen on November 15, 2019. After this, Pancholi will be seen in Time To Dance with Katrina Kaif's sister, Isabelle Kaif.
