Nora Fatehi made her Bollywood debut in 2014 with the film Roar: Tigers of the Sundarbans. Though the film bombed at the Box Office, Nora was on a roll with back-to-back eight projects in the very next year. She took up her next B-Town project soon after shooting for the promotional video for her debut film.
In 2015, Nora Fatehi bagged Prakash Jha's production venture Crazy Cukkad Family, followed by a special song in the Emraan Hashmi-starrer Mr. X., where Nora sizzled in the song 'Alif Se' with Television actor Gurmeet Choudhary.
In the same year, after Alif Se, Nora Fatehi appeared in another item song, this time in a Telugu film. She was seen in popular song Ittage Recchipodham in Temper, which starred N. T. Rama Rao Jr. and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead roles. She was also seen in Malayalam film Double Barrel's item song.
Well, Nora Fatehi also landed an opportunity to groove for a special song in S.S. Rajamouli's magnum opus Baahubali. That's not all! In 2015, Nora Fatehi was also seen in Kick 2, Sher and Loafer's special tracks respectively.
While Nora was shooting for the song Manohari in Baahubali in Hyderabad, she suffered a wardrobe malfunction. Her top came off in front of the camera and lead actress Tamannaah, who was also present on the set, ran to her rescue. Nora, confirming the incident, said, "It was one of the most horrifying moments and I am thankful to Tammannah for stepping in."
Well, 2015 was an eventful year for Nora Fatehi for sure. Cashing on the success with eight back-to-back appearances in various projects, Nora became the wild card entrant of Bigg Boss - Season 9. She entered the house on Day 58, however, got evicted on Day 84.
During her Bigg Boss tenure, Nora Fatehi and Prince Narula's romantic relationship became the talk of the town. In fact, Prince even confessed saying, "I am with Nora. We are dating each other and trying to know each other more... She is similar to me and she came on the show at a time when I was feeling low. She boosted my confidence and supported me. In such a house, when someone is nice to you, it is easy to get attracted. I said 'I love you' to her, which meant I love the person she is. I also told her in private that unlike other reality show couples, I want to carry our relationship even outside the house. So, now we are spending time with each other and we are seeing how good we are for each other." However, they soon parted ways. Prince is now married to Yuvika Chaudhary.
However, Nora Fatehi's slow and steady journey in the showbiz continued. In 2016, Nora was seen sizzling in Rocky Handsome's item song 'Rock Tha Party', followed by Oopiri's item song 'Door No. 1' alongside Nagarjuna.
In the same year, Nora Fatehi also participated in the celebrity dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 9. The actress grabbed eyeballs on the show with her flawless belly dancing moves.
Though 2017 was a dull year for Nora Fatehi, she made sure to be in the news by posting ample videos and candid pictures on her Instagram account. Her ramp walk stint with actor Angad Bedi also sparked rumours that the two are dating each other. However, she dismissed the rumours saying, the latter is her best friend.
In a recent interview, Nora Fatehi said she doesn't like to limit herself in terms of the medium she works in, and so she is open to doing television if the content is good. "So far, I did whatever came my way, instead of waiting for a film. I think that is the best part of new-age entertainment. You don't have to get frustrated about opportunities. Every medium - film, short film, web series or TV shows - is great. The opportunities have expanded for actors," she said.
In 2018, Nora Fatehi made heads turn with her scintillating dance moves in Satyamev Jayate's Dilbar Dilbar. Nora earned more popularity as a self-taught belly dancing sensation and soon became a viral star because of her mesmerizing dance moves. While 'Dilbar Dilbar' was an icing, her next - 'Kamariya' from Stree was the cherry on it.
Well, entertaining the fans with her dancing prowess, she spread her magic as an actor too. Nora Fatehi made a special appearance in John Abraham-starrer Batla House, was also a part of Salman Khan's Bharat. Taking a step forward in this entertainment industry, Nora Fatehi starred in Varun Dhawan-Shraddha Kapoor's Street Dancer 3D, which was directed by Remo D'Souza.
Her song Garmi in the dace-film is now considered as one of the peppiest songs of the year and has garnered a lot of attention from the fans. Nora Fatehi's dance moves surely gave the Bollywood stars run for their money!
"It is a huge film and I have a very prominent and important role in it and the audience has the opportunity to see me dance and act at the same time. The positioning I have in this movie is something the people are looking forward to seeing and the experience shooting on the sets has been life-changing as a performer. I am dancing in this movie in a very different style which I have never tried before and there is so many elements in the movie which are new for me and the audience to see. And I believe this will be a push in my career, said Nora Fatehi in an interview with IANS before the release of Street Dancer 3D.
