It's a part of my personality as an actor that I have never explored, and I am so happy that I get to portray a strong and powerful girl like Saina! She has put our country on the world map and I excited to put in all the training and hard work that comes with learning the game of Badminton and portraying Saina on screen."
The actress will be learning how to play Badminton for four months, following which she will start shooting. "I want to play exactly the way she does. [I make a note of] how she drops her foot, how she uses her racquet and her aggression on the court. I have to imbibe these traits into my personality", she said.
Pari has also started utilising the time to research on Saina. She devotes two hours every day to watch her matches, interview clips and public appearance videos. Earlier, Shraddha Kapoor was to play the lead role in the biopic and had even started shooting for it, but she quit the project due to scheduling conflicts post her diagnoses with dengue. The biopic is being directed by Amole Gupte and is expected to release in 2020.
