Gayatri Joshi Oberoi: She is truly a one-film wonder appearing only in one Bollywood film. She had a dream debut opposite none other than Shah Rukh Khan with Swades. It was the perfect launchpad. However, post her debut, she settled into marital bliss. She is married to businessman Vikas Oberoi.
Diana Penty: She made her acting debut in 2012 with the romantic-comedy film Cocktail. She followed it up with films like Happy Bhag Jayegi, Lucknow Central and Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran, but couldn't really find her feet in Bollywood.
Nargis Fakhri: She made her Bollywood debut with Imtiaz Ali's 'Rockstar' opposite Ranbir Kapoor in 2011. She also acted in films like Madras Cafe, Main Tera Hero, Azhar, Housefull 3, Dishoom and Banjo. However, Nargis did not taste success in Bollywood.
Shamita Shetty: Introduced as the sister of actress Shilpa Shetty, Shamita made her Bollywood debut in 2000 with Aditya Chopra's directorial Mohabbatein but worked in a few films since then. In 2002, Shamita Shetty made her Tamil debut with Raajjiyam, however, the film bombed at the Box Office and did no good to her career. In 2003, Shamita Shetty made her Telugu debut with the film Pilisthe Palukutha, which too failed to do wonders at the Box Office. Shamita Shetty made special appearances in songs such as 'Chori Pe Chori' from Saathiya (2002) and 'Sharara Sharara' from Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai (2002), but her career failed to take off!
Bhagyashree: She is best remembered for her debut in 'Maine Pyaar Kiya' opposite Salman Khan. Bhagyashree wed actor-turned-businessman Himalaya Dassani in 1990. They starred together in three films, Qaid Main Hai Bulbul, Tyagi and Paayal, all released in 1992. Apart from Bollywood, Bhagyashree has acted in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Marathi and Bhojpuri films and a few daily soaps. But Maine Pyaar Kiya was the only success that the actress tasted.
Bhumika Chawla: Best remembered for her debut opposite Salman Khan in 'Tere Naam', she settled into marital bliss after appearing in a few forgettable films post her debut. Bhumika has starred in more than 40 films including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam languages, however, she has not managed to taste success as much as her Bollywood debut.
Gracy Singh: She was Bhuvan's (Aamir Khan) love interest Gauri in the Oscar-nominated film 'Lagaan'. Post 'Lagaan', Gracy went on to appear in films like Munna Bhai MBBS. However, thereafter, she almost disappeared from the scene.
Mahima Chaudhary: Discovered by Subhash Ghai, this former VJ became the darling of the masses with Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Pardes, winning all the best debut trophies including the prestigious Filmfare award. Thereafter, however, her career went downhill with a string of flops. She is currently out of the limelight, and a single mother to her daughter. However, whenever one mentions her name all we can think of is Pardes!
Sneha Ullal: She became popular even before her debut for her striking resemblance to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan all thanks to the fact that her launchpad, Lucky - No Time For Love, had her starring opposite Ash's ex-flame Salman Khan. However, the film wasn't a box office success and she headed south doing one or two forgettable Hindi movies and some down south.
Kim Sharma: She made her dream debut in Bollywood in 2000 with one of the biggest production houses, Yash Raj Films, with the movie 'Mohabbatein'. She, later, worked in films like 'Tum Se Achcha Kaun Hai', 'Nehlle Pe Dehlla', 'Tom, Dick, and Harry' and 'Money Hai Toh Honey Hai', among others.
Tanishaa Mukerji: Tanishaa followed in the footsteps of her star sister Kajol and entered Bollywood with the horror-thriller Sssshhh... Post that she featured in notable films like Tango Charlie, Sarkar and Neal N Nikki, but couldn't replicate her sister's success story. She has deep-rooted film legacy. If her maternal grandmother Shobhna Samarth was one of the reigning queens of 1950s, her paternal grandfather Sashadar Mukherjee was the pioneer of Indian cinema. Her father Shomu Mukherjee made films like Sangdil Sanam and Pathar Ke Insan. Her illustrious family background raised a lot of expectations from her, but sadly, Tanishaa could not taste success!
Udita Goswami: She made her Bollywood debut with John Abraham's Paap. The actress blew everyone's mind with her scintillating avatar in the film. In no time, she became one of the hottest actresses in the early 2000s. Udita Goswami grabbed more attention after she appeared in Zeher and Aksar, both starring Emraan Hashmi as the lead protagonist. However, her acting career never really took off and after marrying filmmaker Mohit Suri, Udita Goswami almost disappeared and is rarely seen in public outings.
