Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Anurag Kashyap
In the film industry, actors and directors rarely form bonds that extend beyond their work. However, after filmmaker Anurag Kashyap recently shared in an interview about a time when celebrity designers refused to make a suit for Nawazuddin Siddiqui, the actor explained that while he respects Anurag's filmmaking and how important Anurag has been in his 25-year acting career, they're not actually friends.

Is Nawazuddin Siddiqui not friends with Anurag Kashyap?
In a conversation with Indian Express, Nawazuddin revealed, “It was Gangs Of Wasseypur. Gangs had not released then. Of course bura lagega (I was hurt) that people have that kind of approach to an actor. I felt ajeeb (weird).”
Nawazuddin mentioned that he is very fond of the filmmaker. When he heard that Anurag had talked about a difficult time in his life and shared how Nawaz and Taapsee Pannu would check on him, helping him deal with depression and alcohol addiction, Nawaz said, “Anurag and I are not even friends, frankly speaking. If we sit together we might not even talk to each other for hours. We are like that. We have flown together, travelled together for 5-6 hours without saying a word, maybe we’ll ask if you have matchsticks, or come, let’s eat something or drink. We only discuss these things. We don’t talk much. But Anurag has a special place in my heart. I always want him to be healthy and make films even if he doesn’t cast me in them. Anurag should always keep making films. Kabhi koi aanch nahi aani chaahiye Anurag ko bass (Anurag should never have any problems),” he said.
Nawazuddin on his bond with Aamir Khan
Just recently, Nawazuddin Siddiqui shared his experience of working with Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan in ‘Sarfarosh’ and ‘Talaash: The Answer Lies Within’.
The film, which recently clocked 25 years of its release, saw Nawaz in a small role when he is interrogated by the cops from Aamir’s team. From that scene with his humble beginnings in Bollywood, Nawaz went on to work with Aamir in ‘Talaash’.
Recalling his experiences on the sets of ‘Sarfarosh’ and ‘Talaash’, Nawaz said: "Sharing the screen with Aamir in both Sarfarosh and Talaash has been a remarkable journey. Off the sets, our bond was just as strong, full of mutual respect and an unspoken understanding.”
He further mentioned, “Aamir's dedication and passion for his craft are truly inspiring, and our discussions often went beyond scripts and scenes, we loved discussing cinema”.
