Speaking about getting into character Vivek Oberoi says, “For me it was a lot easier because my nanaji General Harish Pathak was a very respected member of the forces, a war hero himself. He’s won Param Vishisht Seva medal and Mahavir Chakra for his bravery in battle. I remember so many stories from when I was a kid. All the other children would sleep with nani and get stories of rajas, ranis, all sorts of fairy-tale and I would tell nana I want bedtime stories of the war. I would be wide eyed and as an impressionable kid it went so deep within me that I see his spirit in that uniform. If I wasn't an actor I would be a soldier.”
