Where does Vir Das belong in 'Shivaay'?

In 'Shivaay', Vir Das’s character speaks chaste Urdu and was playing a Pakistani character. Thanks to the current scenario, the makers did not want any references to the neighbouring country, so his country of origin is not shown in the film. All the references to Pak were chopped. So Vir remains nationless in Ajay Devgn’s action flick.
