Having won hearts with her illustrious career both in the television and film industries, Vibha Chibber, who plays Janaki maa in Mehndi Wala Ghar, says she took inspiration from yesteryear actor Dina Pathak. “Drawing influence from the famous veteran actor, who played Nirmala Gupta in the iconic film Khoobsurat [1980], I’ve tried to endow Janaki’s character with a similar blend of power and affection. Right from the time that we began shooting, the set doesn’t feel like a place of work, rather it feels like my second home because we are like one big family. Be it rehearsing, having chai breaks, lunch, or playing pranks—we are all in it together, like one big happy family,” says the actor.
