Actress Kajol turns 49 today. The actress who has made immense contributions to Indian cinema since the 90s is being showered with wishes from her fans and colleagues. Her husband and actor Ajay Devgn also took to social media to share an adorable video while wishing her. Ajay shared a video which included a still photo of him and Kajol on stage. The video voiceover asks who among them is the better cook, communicator, has more style patient, and is nicer to strangers. The answers all point at Kajol. "Tareef karu kya teri... Happy Birthday," he wrote along with the video.

Ajay and Kajol have worked together in multiple films. The duo met in the 90s and got married in 1999. In an old interview, Ajay revealed that he disliked Kajol so much in their first meeting that he wasn’t keen on meeting her again. Speaking with Pioneer, Ajay said, “I had met Kajol once before we started shooting for Hulchul. Honestly, I wasn’t very keen to meet her after that." He explained that when he met Kajol, she came across as a loud, arrogant and very talkative person. He also added that they were very different from each other in terms of personality. “But I guess what is meant to happen, happens," he said.
“As a matter of fact, we said ‘I love you’. An official proposal never happened either. We fell in love, grew with each other,” he added. The actor said that they did not want to rush their relationship and wanted to be sure that they want to spend the rest of their lives together. Their marriage was also never discussed, but it was always imminent. “It has been more than a decade now. And I owe my success to her. For a man to be successful, it is important that he is at peace at home," Ajay concluded.
Kajol and Ajay have worked together in films like 'Ishq', 'Raju Chacha', 'Toonpur Ka Superhero', 'Tanhaji', 'U Me Aur Hum', among others.
Kajol was last seen in the series 'The Trial' which marked her debut in the web series space. She played a lawyer in the series that also starred Saurabh Shukla, Jisshu Sengupta and Gaurav Pandey.
