Sources say Anurag Kashyap's futuristic thriller with Taapsee Pannu to roll in Goa next month.

The pandemic might have left her schedule in disarray, but now, there's no stopping Taapsee Pannu. Currently in Kutch to complete the final schedule of Rashmi Rocket, the actor will soon head to Goa for a brief stint of Looop Lapeta, the official adaptation of Run Lola Run (1998). Once that is completed, Pannu will give her undivided attention to filmmaker friend Anurag Kashyap’s sci-fi movie, tentatively titled Rewind.

It is heard that the film, which was to originally roll in May 2020, will go on floors around February 15. “The futuristic thriller needed an oceanic backdrop. On learning that Taapsee will be in Goa in February, Anurag instructed his production team to quickly conduct a recce and zero in on key locations there that can suit the narrative. He has planned a three-week schedule, followed by another stint in Mumbai in the second half of March,” reveals a source.
In an earlier interview with mid-day, Pannu had revealed how the film — her second outing with Kashyap as a director, after Manmarziyaan (2018) — was to be shot in Thailand and Mauritius, but the lockdown disrupted the plans. “The story is not dependent on the milieu, so the makers are considering changing the backdrop,” she had said.
