Sanjay Leela Bhansali is known to have a few close friends in the film industry and among them is Shah Rukh Khan. If sources are to be believed, Bhansali recently hosted a private screening of his upcoming film, 'Mary Kom', for SRK. The film, a biopic on boxer Mary Kom, stars Priyanka Chopra in the lead role.

It turns out that Bhansali wanted feedback from his close friends in the industry and this is why he invited SRK to watch the film at his office. A source says that the filmmaker has wanted to show Mary Kom to Shah Rukh Khan for a long time but couldn’t do so since their schedules weren’t matching.

“Bhansali is busy with the pre-production of Bajirao Mastani and has finished working on Mary Kom whereas Shah Rukh Khan has been busy shooting for Farah Khan’s film, Happy New Year. As a result, their dates weren’t working out. But last week, SRK saw the film and he discussed it with Bhansali for nearly two hours,” says a source.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali remained unavailable for comment, while a source close to the filmmaker denied the story.
