Tiger Shroff’s Baaghi 3, which came out last year on March 6, was expected to do hysterical business at the ticket windows. A week later, the fate of the globe was never the same. The Coronavirus pandemic struck the world and everyone was locked inside their homes. The movie business came to a screeching halt and the wait got a little longer than we all expected.

It’s only after almost a year that we see the movie business trying to come back on its feet after being crippled due to the pandemic that claimed a million lives. It all begins again within the horror-comedy Roohi, and continues till CirKus, which is set to be the last release of 2021. However, there are some films that continue to await their releases, films that were slated to come out last year. Here are the names:
1. Sooryavanshi

One of the first victims of the COVID-19 pandemic was Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif’s Sooryavanshi, directed by Rohit Shetty. This action-drama was eyeing a March 25 release last year on the occasion of Gudi Padwa. The fate of its release still hangs in the balance. The makers are expected to announce the release date on Shetty’s birthday on March 14. Fans cannot wait to catch this on the celluloid, since it has been a while since they saw car explosions and thunderous cameos.
2. ‘83

Announced in 2017, Kabir Khan’s ‘83 is finally set to come out on June 4. The film was initially set to release on 10 April, 2020. Ranveer Singh stars as Kapil Dev and this is arguably the greatest underdog story in sports history. India’s triumph in the 1983 Cricket World Cup was never televised, the research involved interactions with the players that propelled the team to victory and created history. After Lagaan, this should hopefully be the one film that amalgamates cricket and cinema judiciously.
3. Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai

Eid and Salman Khan are a match made in heaven and a Twain that can never go wrong. It all started with Wanted and continued till Bharat. A lot of speculations continue to make noise about the film directly taking the digital route but the leading man isn’t willing to budge. For him, a Salman Khan extravaganza deserves mass hysteria. Radhe now hopes to bring back the audiences in cinemas this Eid.

Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi unite for the first time for this thriller that promises to be a solid whodunnit. Chehre was earlier slated to release on July 24, 2020, but now comes out on April 30 this year. The biggest mystery surrounding the film has been its release that’s finally solved. Now on to the film!
